Passport & Visa
Every foreign visitors who want to enter the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport. Visitors from countries whose governments have no diplomatic relationship with Korea must obtain an entry permit issued by a Korean embassy or consulate abroad in lieu of visa.

Cards
The unit of Korean currency is the Won(indicated as \). Coin denominations are \10, \100, \500. Bank notes are \1,000, \5,000, \10,000. Foreign banknotes and traveler¡¯s check can be converted into Korean Won at foreign exchange banks and other authorized money changers. The exchange rate is subject to market fluctuation. One U.S. dollar(1$) is equivalent to about \1,150 as of January, 2000. Credit cards, including VISA, American Express, Diners Club and MasterCard are accepted at major hotels, department stores and restaurants.
Clothes & Weather
The average temperature in May in Seoul is 25¡ÆC (71¡ÆF). The days are pleasantly warm and sunny. This is the most beautiful season in the year. However, participants are advised to being long sleeved shirts for night.
